I bought a nice barn-fresh 1918 McCormick 1-1/2HP Model M engine from John Rozevink and picked up at Coolspring in the fall of 2009. The engine was on the original skid with plenty of original paint, at least what you could see of it under a thick layer of oily, dusty crud. I had been taking it to shows after cleaning it up and getting it started, but never got around to fixing the gas tank. I just poured gas into the mixer bowl and let it run until it was out of gas – so maybe 10 minutes at a whack. It was fun, but I needed to get it all back together. So I finally did.
